Anand Mitra (CTO)
Anurag Agarwal(CEO) Profile:
Completed his formal education with a Bachelors degree in computer science from MBM Engineer College, Jodhpur and did his Masters in computer science from IISC, Bangalore.
He has more than 11 yrs of industry experience working on different software technologies both in India and USA. He started his career with Veritas where he was developing various features for Veritas File system; He was a part of the team which was responsible for setting up cluster file system right from its inception.
During his last stint before starting of with KQ Infotech he was commissioned as the Technical Director at Symantec, where he was primarily responsible for new product initiatives for clustering group. He has also helped Symantec file for 6 patents during his tenure there.

Achievements |

- Architect of scalable cluster file system: He was able to re-architect the cluster file system to make it scale from a 3 node to 16 nodes for which he was awarded with the merit of "Star Performer".
- Xen based software fault tolerance: He conceived the idea of Software fault tolerance for Xen. Where he demonstrated the state full failover of Xen virtual machine from one physical machine on to another, without dropping even a single open network connections, for which he was awarded "Outstanding innovator" award in 2006.

| One of his key passions right from the college days has been to mentor individuals and at Symantec also he was involved in guiding a large number of BE students for their BE project. He started working closely with HOD of COEP; along with a set of people from Symantec, where they offered one full semester course on Xen Virtual machine at COEP. During this time, he started understanding the challenges in the formal technical education and this lead him to come up with "Mentor India" which is a one of kind of mentoring program.
As a true citizen it is Anurag's dream to be instrumental in the development of his nation. Thus Along with number of his friends he has started a social initiative called "Akshar Bharati". Under which they have setup 120 community libraries all across India within a span of two years. (www.aksharbharati.org) . |

| Anand Mitra(CTO) Profile:
Anand's fascination with the online medium started at a very early stage, which was one of the key factors in paving the way for a career in software technologies. He completed his Bachelors degree in computers from VNIT Nagpur and finally went on to do his Masters degree in Computer science from IIT Powai.
It has now been close to a decade that he has been associated with software development, whereby creating/modifying number of software's which helped in increasing the efficiency of the original programs. He also likes to try his hand new and innovative concepts of increasing the efficiency of existing software's. One such instance was when he architected the online upgrade for the veritas file system. This feature allowed the kernel drivers to be changed while the system was running and in use. Unfortunately it was ahead of its time and did not go beyond a proof of concept. |

Achievements |

- He designed the "write fastpath" for Veritas Filesystem which improved performance of VxFS in high end enterprise servers. The purpose was to reclaim performance due to feature bloat which is common in well established products.
- Designed the integration of Power6 feature of storage keys for the Veritas storage stack.
- He was also chartered with the task of scoping and designing windows support for Xen based software fault tolerance in Symantec.

| During his work tenure he held number of different positions, while working on different projects. And with each new project, he was driving closer to the dream of creating a platform for learning, Understanding and mentoring people in different technologies like File System, Kernel Programming, Linux Kernel etc.
"Anand and Anurag met when they were working together in Symantec, where they were a part of the same mentoring program which included conducting classes on programming for the final year students at COEP. This laid the foundation for KQ Infotech with its core focus on consulting, training & mentoring."
