Mentoring
The big gap in education given by the Engineering colleges and what is required in the industry is a big challenge while recruiting college graduates. The industry addresses this by training their recruits in house or relying on the individual to self learn the requisite skills over a period of time.
Our "Mentor India" program aims to bridge this gap arming students with industrial skills. This program interfaces with the top engineering colleges of Pune. It identifies students and offers free training in advanced Unix programming and exposes these students to software engineering practises followed in the industry. This will enable new recruits to be begin production quality work sooner and reduce time spent on training after joining the organisation.
We believe that the industry would benefit from higher productivity in recruiting such industry trained engineering graduates. This mode of recruitment is particularly suited for an organisation which does not have enough resources to train their recruits. This program will attract talented students as it gives them an opportunity to gain exposure to advanced Unix programming and Unix Internals, besides opening an alternative placement route other than campus placement.
